Clear channel is a disaster to Portland, and to free speech.

Some rational discourse might be a good thing now and then.

We need to save this radio station. We, Portlanders/Oregonians should have a choice in radio, progressive radio being one of them. We need to be an informed community, free to chose from unbiased radio.

Sports instead of progressive talk show! Bad decision. We can listen to conservative talk shows almost any time of day. We need at least one progressive talk show! Shame on KPOJ.

Portland, Oregon is no longer a free speech city. There is no balance in the news we get.

We don't need another inane sports talk station. We need honest, intellectual talk radio that examines relavant issues from a rational perspective.

KPOJ's former talk show format was a popular radio station and it was profitable as well. The new format is simply ad nauseam and political payback .

This was a viable and profitable station, broadcasting bravely and alone in a feckless thicket of right-wing Koch Brother mouthpieces. What a betrayal to lose KPOJ.

We need progressive radio back in Portland, not another sports channel. Please deny this renewal.

In addition to the loss of an essential progressive voice, lack of local ownership and control of radio stations that use the public's airwaves is destroying radio. Stations centrally programmed from LA are boring and meaningless to the rest of us and ratings are plunging everywhere. Before long the FCC won't have anything to regulate.

We the people, need a voice!

There are several sports stations in the Portland, OR, area and NO progressive talk. Please help end this monopoly and deny KPOJ a sports license renewal.

If "in the public interest" means anything, it should actually be enforced from time to time. DENY KPOJ!

Having this nonsense on not only doesn't benefit the public, it was against the business interests of the owners of the corporation operating the station.

Without progressive talk on KPOJ, I feel very uninformed.

Clear Channel needs to work for public interests more than simply corporate interests.

How incredibly sad -- this decision that represents the "American Way" -- another money driven choice.
