As a local Veterinarian - as part of the local business field, as a lover of my community and of the outdoors, I plead with the Manatee County leaders to follow their own slogan of "Keep Manatee Beautiful". I was born and raised here and can say with complete honesty that when I look around I am not always pleased with the progress. We are all so lucky to be part of an innately gorgeous area, an area that doesn't (yet!!) resemble the many towns of South Florida where they developed and developed and over developed to the point where now no one thinks of their gorgeous beaches as much as they do a concrete town. Don't take away something so wonderful that was given to you freely. Do the right thing. Make the right choice. Your grandchildren will thank you for it and so will I.

Stop Aqua Bay. Preserve our coastline and habitat. As a lifelong resident and registered voter, I strongly oppose any development that destroys our coastline and the natural beauty of our community.

Deny this man the right to destroy what little 'Old Florida' we still have left. Leave out shorelines and water ALONE CARLOS.

We know better than to mess with the protection and processes of nature. We need our fish and birds and they need habitat. Don't let developers destroy it.

The Beruff development plan will not "preserve" mangroves; it will kill them. By dredging a channel behind the mangroves and building a retaining wall to backfill for development, mangroves will have nowhere to migrate with the rise in sea level. They will simply perish. Even without sea level rise, this is a bad plan. With sea level rise, which by law in Florida must now be considered in all coastal development, this plan is an outrage.

Please deny request for permit ERP 338349 Long Bar Pointe. Environmental rules should be followed. This priceless area can not be replaced once allowed to be destroyed. We must be good stewards of our land.
