I question whether or not the FDEP would even have the staff or necessary resources to ensure any permit potentially issued can be monitored. Err on the side of DENY application for public and water quality good.

There has to be a definitive "no" given to this developer who has no problem destroying our wetlands

Please stop this destructive greedy land-grab! Beruff will do anything to get what he wants but our environment and current residents will pay. Stop the madness!

Why do developers Beruff and Neal, who have made multiple fortunes off the backs of the citizens and natural resources of Manatee County, seem to share such a malignant hatred for this county?

Enough is enough it's time to take back Manatee County or they'll be nothing left for the visitors to come and see and enjoy.

Mr. Beruff is a bully and must be stopped. He is working this plan under a conflict of interest.

Beruff is trying to rig the situation. Gov. Scott put him of the SWIFTMUD board so he could change the rules to his advantage. This whole situation reads like a Carl Hiaasen book where uncaring & greedy developers want to rape the land.

As a five-month snowbird from Michigan and a lover of Sarasota Bay, I have observed this sorry Beruff spectacle stretch on for far too long. No rational person or syndicate pours money down the drain without hope of ultimate success. Why does a man acknowledged widely to be a greedy, grasping disgrace, with values wholly at variance with those who treasure Sarasota Bay--why does that man persist? Is the explanation corruption at high levels and insider favor-trading? Are public servants employed by taxpayers assisting Berfuff's cause in secret? Can they be identified? Can they be held accountable? Bay-lovers and the public seem always to be on the defensive? Is an offense possible? If so, what might it be?

1,000 people spoke out against this company's plans previously and now they are trying to circumvent the will of the majority of Manatee County residents!

Please protect the waters off long bar point. This is a unique and precious ecosystem. There is a reason it is called the kitchen.

No double dipping. The mangroves are already protected, so he is not bringing any additional protections to land. Mitigation banks are to add to protected lands not double count them.
