There is no end to Beruff's greed and lust for power. It is now been reported that Carlos intends to run for the U.S. Senate!!! Perish the thought!!

This man has to gall to sit on the board of SWFMD and attempts to destroy our enviroment by circumventing our existing laws.

Beruff has ignored the County Commisioners, Judge Lakin & The Will of The People of Manatee County. He needs to realize that he is not above the law. But that he needs to follow it. Anyone who sues the county to get his way will not win. It's like strong arm robbery.

Manatee Co. needs to limit the number of times a developer can apply to alter laws.

How many times will he try to change the law?

Stop this permit. It will not 'lift' environment. It will destroy the wetlands, mangroves and land under water which can never be replaced.

There has to be a limit to destroying wetland and sea grass. TIdy Island is a state designated wildlife refuge.. Losing our wild life and commercial and sport fishing would be a shame...but hopefuloly Army COrfe of Engineeers will not let this happen regardless of how many people Beruff owns.

I request that FDEP deny the Long Bar Pointe mitigation bank permit ERP_338349 for the reasons cited below: Developer Carlos Beruff’s company has permits in hand for major development of the uplands at Long Bar Pointe, yet he's been unsuccessful in his attempts to develop the protected coastal wetlands, including dredging Sarasota Bay.

These developers simply refuse to accept that our environment needs protection, especially in this part of Sarasota Bay. This area, also known as "The Kitchen" supports an entire local fishing industry, as well as, sports fishing. In addition, wildlife relies on this vulnerable area.

PROTECTED COASTAL WETLANDS SHOULD BE PROTECTED. WHY IS THERE EVEN A QUESTION ABOUT THIS? STOP DESTROYING NATURE FOR GREED.

Please stop continued abuse to the long term Manatee county plan. The residents and tourist come for the old Florida & green feel of our county. We need intelligent growth.

The area he wants to destroy is a habitat for thousands of shore birds including the endangered Roseate Spoonbills

Mitigation has been proven to be unreliable and in most cases failed. Check with Sarasota Bay Estuary and have them show you the results.
