Mitigation Banks are for restoration and enhancements of wetlands - not preservation of existing wetlands regulated and protected under law.

I extremely oppose the mitigation. Leave our coast alone!

Sarasota Bay must be protected because of its fisheries and wild life.

I believe that approving this permit would be devastating to the Sarasota Bay shoreline. We face many other environmental challenges in our waterways. Please do not add to the degradation of a beautiful shoreline. Deny this permit.

I am a lifelong Manatee County resident who has watched with growing concern the undisguised greed and outright disregard for preserving any semblance of our beautiful wetlands, wildlife and environment. Carlos Beruff is a bully who will threaten and litigate to get his way, which is to develop anything and everything he can to further line his pockets. He must be stopped. This sensitive land and water environment can never be replaced once it is destroyed. A mitigation bank will not in any way replace what is lost forever.

Clearly, we need legislators who will protect our environment. I will vote against any Florida legislator who supports this or approves anything similar to this. Enough is enough!

This should be stopped at all costs. Destroying coastline to develop hundreds of homes and associated businesses should be not be allowed., i.e. runoff into bay, no proof of mitigation success or monitoring , bay water degradation, destruction of animal habitat, etc Now developer wants to be a poltician, can you figure that out?
