I live in lapeer michigan and it is the same here. Not only is the horn blowing incredibly loud, but some trains spew toxic burning black goo that smells line burnt hydraulic fluid or oil. Try sleeping through that on a hot muggy night.

We live at 26th and Irving and many nights can't sleep with our windows open due to the incessant train horn honking. It's ridiculous, the laying on the horn for minutes. It is decreasing the quality of our lives here and there MUST be another solution!

I also have had trouble sleeping the last two months because of the train horns in the Jefferson Park / LoHi neighborhood. It's ridiculous and needs to stop/

I live in Jefferson Park. The train horns have recently increased in frequency and volume. 4am, 5am, 10pm, 11pm and so loud it's in my bedroom. Can't sleep with windows open. Why is the horn blowing necessary at this level?????

I recently moved into Denver from a nearby subdivisions where trains did not have access. Had I known the tracks were close by and that I would be having to listen to train whistle all night long I never would have moved here. I pay a very high price in rent (as Colorado is getting ridiculous price for) to have to live in a small cramped place with no amenities and now I have to put up with this noise.... Horrible!

I live at 30th Ave and Zuni St, and I cannot sleep because of the horns. It wakes me up several times every night. I cannot believe this is happening.

Ridiculous I live just off Garstang road and the horn wakes me in the night. God knows how those nearer feel. It needs sorting or put the crossing out of action on Holts lane., its not used much and an attraction to the children

STOP. Enough already. There are enough safety provisions at all crossings in northern Denver to stop the horn noise.

This is RIDICULOUS!!! Honestly it seems like the guys who are driving the trains are TRYING to keep us up! They just keep blasting the damn horn for 3-8 minutes at a time. PLEASE CALL this lady, Cathy J. Norris @ Tel: 303-480-7406, and COMPLAIN. I keep leaving her messages. Of course she will not respond, but if she gets 20-60 phone calls a day...she'll have to actually do something about this! This HAS TO STOP! Below is Cathy's contact info. BNSF Exec. Director, State Govt. Affairs Tel: 303-480-7406 Fax: 303-480-7407 Her Address: P.O. Box 630317 Littleton, CO 80163-0137

Sleep deprived. Can't open my windows at night. Live 50 yards from a RR crossing. Given that the train makes noise as it is coming down the track, bars that come down as a barrier, red lights flashing, clanging of the bell when the bars come down ... How much more do we need? The horn is a legacy from another era. I can understand if an animal is wandering onto the tracks or someone mistakenly on the tracks, but other than that I don't see a reason for the horn.
