Thank you to all the pupils who have to travel long way to support their faith and believes. Removal of transport is a form of religious discrimination which should be stopped immadietaly.

If the removal of financial support for transport goes ahead we would have to seriously look at the affordability of sending our twins to All Saints School. This is discriminatory!

It is very important to a lot of people that they/their child attend a Catholic school and without this service it would be impossible for some children to do this.

Discretionary funding of transport has allowed me to send my daughter (now year 11) to All Saints, where she has received an excellent education. The catholic school in Calderdale is now closed. It was important to me that my daughter attended a school of our faith. As a lone parent, I would not have been able to afford the fares for her to travel to Huddersfield, nor would I have been able to transport her there myself because of work commitments & the fact that I have a disabled son.

Catholic schools save councils more money than is spent on transport. Another example of Kirklees cutting frontline services to propect its own politicly correct agenders

my son would have to catch two buses or consoder chaning school. This would be detremental tp his education. One of the criteria in chosong this school were the transport provided. Our 12year old son woild have to come home in the dark on occasions and cross two busy dual carriageway s. I don't want my son to become a statistic before the council are forced to reinstate the bus service

My children must travel by school bus each day as we live 6 miles from school. there is no alternative catholic high school that is nearer to our home. The removal of the school bus service would mean that my children will need to transfer school's mid-way through their GCSE education and I feel this would be very dtrimental to the education and subsequent exam results. I don't think the council should be saving money by disrupting childrens education.

Leaving home at 6.45am to travel 12 miles to school every day is a 'Pilgrimage' every day, and could not be done without the Bus Pass.

Please tell me how you can force I child who has just turned 8, into walking from Almondbury to Dalton and them miles return uphill? The weather is dreadful, he is constantly frustrated and angry. He is too tired to do his homework. He doesn't want to go to school. He constantly has a cold. How can this cruelty be justified?

all my children have used the bus to school for over 14 years,and my 8 year old still continues to do so,if the the school bus's are affected by this decision then i maybe left with no choice but to move my son to a nearer school which would disrupt my sons education both religiously and mentally as he would have to make new friends,and get used to new people etc

My Son is due to go to High School year after this & i'd struggle as a single parent if I had to pay for his bus fare to get there!!
Children should have a right to a Catholic education if they so choose. Taking the free transport away will have a huge impact on low income families; once again discriminating against them.
