It is very unfair treatment we a getting from the council why our schools? I feel our belief is under attack if it was another religion they would have no problems at all.

If the funding is removed good schools will struggle to maintain viable numbers and many pupils will therefore be deprived of the proven benefits of a Catholic education.
This free bus service is a right for every Catholic Child to enable them to attend Catholic Schools in Huddersfield and ithey have a right to be given these bus passes

I am a surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield nhs trust. In my experience of more than 5 years as a consultant in the hospital is the social added value to our community of the Catholic schools in the Kirklees area. All support should be given to these charity organisations.

This is nothing more than religious based discrimination against the Catholic minority in Kirklees. Catholics face enough discrimination in being barred from the highest offices in the land (i.e. Monarchy), but Kirklees MC are resorting to petty diktats to add insult to injury and penalise this beleaguered minority even more. If this was directed at Muslim or other minority faith schools, the council would be sued for discrimination. We have laws against against persecuting different races, genders, sexualities and the disabled, which are zealously enforced, but it is abundantly clear that religious discrimination laws are not worth the paper they are written on. End this anti-Catholic bigotry disguised as spending cuts!
