Maybe we should start another petition to fire all business faculty who can not teach or simply read from slides

He has a true passion for economics which is displayed by his teaching style. If they lose him, it will be a great loss to the University of Winnipeg.

"The business admin department is riddled with professors who can't present material in a digestable way" Michael Jack I agree 100% here. The department is full of "slide readers", professors who don't do anything more than reading their power points. For an international student paying around $1600 per course it is almost insulting. It sad to see that UofW really doesn't care about their most valuable assets.

Dennis is one of the best economics professors the faculty could ever offer. Makes potential economics students want to further their studies or join the economics/economics and finance program. This is what the University should be looking for; professors that make students /want/ to study their subject, instead they are opting for hiring less professional perhaps unwanted professors that are new/less costly and could be a liability to those pursuing the program. The University should put aside its money saving and see that the students demand this professor to be re-hired as should all valued professors across campus.

Dennis was a very enthusiastic prof who is very valued by myself and many other students. It would be shame to see him basically "forced" out of our great institution when hes done so much for all of us.

Professor Ng has earned the opportunity to be strongly recommended for a new contract with The UofW. Give him his due please.

One of the three tenants on the University of Winnipeg homepage is "Belong", Dennis made me feel like I, more than any other professor at the university, belonged. Professor Dennis Ng reminded me that studying economics and finance was what I wanted to do. I was once told that the University of Winnipeg was one of the first universities in the county to have student reviews of professors. I am sure that 95% of the student reviewed conducted the "Satisfactory" checkbox was filled in. Unfortunately for the faculty, and the university at large, there is no checkbox "Excellent" as I'm sure many, many students would have gladly checked off instead. Hopefully the University of Winnipeg has not lost the vision that these student reviews had when they were introduced. It's truly disappointing that the University of Winnipeg has made this decision. No amount of research can replace a good teacher of students. I hope the University of Winnipeg reconsidered the decision it's made and re-instate Dennis Ng as a professor at the University of Winnipeg.

Not only was Dr. Ng an excellent teacher, in the classroom, he also went that "extra mile" for his students outside the classroom to ensure that they are understanding the material. He is also involved in student groups (UWIG, CFA Research Challenge) for those students that wish to further their knowledge beyond a classroom setting.

Dr.Ng is an excellent professor! He is helpful, clear and is clearly concerned that his students not only memorize information but actually understand what he is teaching. Definitely worthy of a full-time teaching position!

There is nothing that I can say that has not been said by other students. Dennis is not just an instructor, he also finds a way to engage his students and bridge the gap between the lessons and their application to day to day life. It would be a great loss both to the students and the faculty not to have him as a professor.

I firmly believe that Professor Ng is one of the best Economic instructors I have had. He is very down to earth, and easily communicable. He is thorough in his methods, and it would be a great loss for the University of Winnipeg, if they chose not to rehire this brilliant teacher!
