This is a petition to demote Phil Hughes to AAA to make room for a pitcher with more potential and consistency. Hughes has been consistently inconsistent throughout the past two seasons with the Yankees. He had his chance to prove himself in the majors, and its time to send him back to Triple-A. Although Hughes has had his bright spots, they are quickly forgotten after a 7 run first inning (for example). He allowed 35 home runs during the 2012 season, 95 throughout his career and 8 home runs allowed this season already.
