The building is a terrible eyesore and serves no purpose anymore. Think it's time for it to go so the land can be used for something useful.

No no no!! Don't sign this petition! Under current administration this land would be used for far worse and that is section 8 gubment housing that will harbor even more crime for our area! In 50 years I have never seen it this bad folks but it can get worse! Those black knucklehead thugs have brought our area to its knees. With our newfound republican leadership I think we will all see an upturn within a few years. Just hold tight folks, pray to God and things will get better for us here. Don't let those sorry thugs and their mommas run us out of our neighborhood! When Katrina hit over a decade ago was when things really took a downturn with the refugees from NOLA.

This place is a hazard with so many possibilities for bad things to happen. Let's get rid of it before someone is seriously hurt, or possibly killed.

Please demolish the old Banks high school or invest money in it to become a go to place like what is happening in Avondale. City of Birmingham you need to spend money in this area of town!!

Gunshots and strange characters in and out of the old school - lately more spray paint and broken windows. Crime is up in our neighborhood. It's a shame it wasn't converted into something for the area but it is far beyond that point. The city needs to take responsibility - not just leave these old city buildings to waste away and draw more unwanted criminals to a lovely area. If there was a building like this in their neighborhood you bet it would be torn down. Please do what is right and demolish the increasingly more dangerous eyesore. We pay taxes too.

City cannot afford to maintain this property. It will cyst us more to hold it then to demo. Tear it down.

It would be a nice park for the community. I can't believe the city of Birmingham has not done anything about this yet. It's a complete eye sore for the entire community.

I agree this should either be maintaind by the City (who owns the building)to the standard that citizens would be held to in the zoning code or it should be demolished. Since obviously the city will not maintain it based on historical record, it should be demolished.
Please get rid of it.
