We have are returning visitors to Harlech and have wondered how the town has put up with such an ugly blot on the beautiful landscape for so long. Please, please remove it this year!

I have been a resident of Harlech for 17 years now and this true blot on the landscape is a disgrace. The views are amazing, the "passing trade" is low volume, there is a "world-class" golf course right there, and some kind of hotel/sanctuary could provide some badly needed local jobs as well as respite from the 21st century. It's an ideal opportunity for some "moneyed" person to give something back, but please please please don't let it be the current golf fan in charge of the USA...

These buildings are a blot on the landscape! They need to go as soon as possible. This is a tourist area and my clients have complained about these eyesores.

Time they were both demolished its a eye sore and it doesn't look nice when the tourists come on the train, and when they r flattened it will be nice to see a new buildings in place bring local trades men and jobs to the community

As a frequent visitor to Harlech I feel these buildings are an absolute disgrace in one of the most beautiful surroundings in the whole of Wales. A redevelopment as suggested is badly needed to encourage visitors to stay in Harlech, which would greatly help local businesses who depend on the tourist trade. This blight on the beautiful landscape has gone on far too long.

In Snowdonia National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, locals & visitors alike have endured the continued delapidation of both the old St Davids Hotel & Harlech Colleges' accommodation block for years! They're an absolute disgrace, dangerous, & stand out "like a sore thumb" from the beach. They should both be demolished post haste to give a declining town with a World Heritage Castle & prestigous Royal St. Davids Golf Course a real "pick me up" boost & a definite helping hand to the local Harlech Tourism Association & others trying to promote Harlech as a tourist destination which would help boost much needed employment opportunities.

Harlech and its castle, in a beautiful setting, should be one of the world's great tourist attractions. It beggars belief that the old hotel, now one of the world's great eyesores, has been left to rot for so many years. Shameful.
