During the strong winds of the past week more windows of the tower block have blown open and slammed shut shattering their window panes causing shards of glass to become airborne; for some years the outer perimeter of the tower block has a temporary fence to protect passers by from injury. This fence is inadequate. I am surprised network rail haven't raised concern that the dangerous condition of the tower block building compromises safety for those working on or travelling along the Cambrian coast railway and that the HSE has not taken action.

I totally agree these buildings need to be knocked down as well as the hotel its an amazing spot for redevelopment.

The St David's Hotel and Coleg Harlech have been an eyesore and a danger to the public for far too long. It is high time they should be demolished and the site restored to enhance the beautiful and historic area.

I strongly believe it is in the public interest to demolish this building. It is dangerous and an eyesore in an area which attracts visitors because of its natural beauty and architectural interest.

The fact that this has been going on for so long is a scandal. The blight on one of the historic sites in Wales is very considerable, and now having a damaging impact on the locality and the facilities therein: cursory inspection of tourist (and golf) websites makes this crystal clear.

The representatives of "The Lonely Planet" obviously didn't see these two abominations when they printed "North Wales is one of the Top 4 places in the world as a tourist destination."
Come on Gwynedd Council and Nat Park, put your money where your mouths are and start pulling these blights down.
Don't let the people of Harlech down again, remember the Pont Brewit fiasco!!!!

We have holidayed in Wales from the 1050's. These eyesores are a blight to such a. beautiful and historic town.

Whilst an enormous eyesore which is affecting whatever tourist trade there is in Harlech, my concern is the safety issue for inquisitive youth.....this is now a death trap. It has to go!
