How can the various Authorities, and that includes the Welsh Assembly Government, Gwynedd County Council and Snowdonia National Park Authority have allowed Harlech, with its World Heritage Site, to be blighted by allowing what was once a prestigious hotel St David’s Hotel to be left standing so many years after Planning Application for the Site was approved knowing it was being accessed and stripped out by trespassers and left in such a dangerous unsafe and unsecured state.
Surely as well as the Legal Responsibilities for the Owners of the Site, to what extent do the Authorities have responsibility for the safety of the community. Where do the Health & Safety Executives stand in this?
The Welsh Assembly Government should be promoting the area and not allowing it to deteriorate in such a manner.
It is certainly not appealing for visitors and encouraging for the tourist industry.
Also what does it say for the Developers and Owners who appear not to be complying with a Demolition Order by 18th April 2017.

I am fully supportive of the proposals within the petition. This project is long overdue and its absence contributes to an aura of shabby depression in the area.

This is LONG OVERDUE!! Both buildings are an appalling blot on this beautiful World Heritage Site visible for miles around. Sympathetic redevelopment would give a huge boost to beautiful Harlech and the tourist industry - badly needed!!
