This is not the first such incident we have encountered. Unfortunately, such occurrences are becoming increasingly frequent as the so-called "Gunda Raj" poses a growing threat to the safety and well-being of IIT BHU students. Without provocation, miscreants stop vehicles carrying students to campus and subject them to acts of violence. These innocent students are the future of our nation, and it is deeply concerning that such incidents are taking place. To our knowledge, IIT BHU is the only IIT where students have had to face violence of this nature. We strongly urge immediate and strict action to ensure the safety and security of students on and around the campus.

This kind of incidents are really concerning...they make us feel unsafe in our own campus (which is so called in one of the best clg in India "IIT") and also worry our parents as well... please do something about this.

We request the administration to increase security surveillance during night hours, including more patrolling guards, functional CCTV monitoring, and proper lighting in all critical areas of the campus.

We, the students of IIT (BHU) Varanasi and concerned citizens of India, are deeply disturbed by the violent incident that took place on 1st September involving IIT students and local residents near the Birla area. This clash has not only endangered the lives of innocent students but has also created a serious atmosphere of fear and insecurity on campus and in the surrounding areas. IIT (BHU) is one of the country’s premier institutions, where students from across India come to pursue their education and contribute to the nation’s growth. No student should have to live under constant threat of violence or compromise their safety while pursuing education. Unfortunately, repeated instances of clashes and lack of adequate protection have made students feel vulnerable and unheard. We demand urgent action from the Government of India and the Honourable Prime Minister to ensure: Enhanced security measures in and around IIT BHU, especially near sensitive areas like Birla. Strict legal action against those responsible for violence and intimidation. Permanent deployment of adequate police/security forces to prevent such incidents in the future. Collaboration between the district administration, IIT BHU authorities, and student representatives to create a safe and supportive environment. The safety of students is non-negotiable. We urge the government to take immediate and decisive steps to restore peace and guarantee the protection of every student on campus. Together, we demand a safe and secure IIT BHU where education can thrive without fear.

I'm feeling too much bad about the incident and not expecting that after cracking the most toughest exam in the world to get in iit and after that we have to go through all these violence, abuses. It's very shameful for me to say I'm studying in IIT in which we are not safe. So I'm requesting to please take h big step towards our safety.

Good afternoon sir, sir please give us a proper security as we are unable to go out at night time because of birla students. And also there are no street lights inside the campus. No proper facilities are functioning
