If the courthouse had been properly maintained through the years, it would not be in the shape it's in. The ball was dropped a long time ago, so step up now and provide the funds to property restore this historic building.

This is a real piece of not only Ellisvilles and Jones Counties History, but all of South Mississippi's and as such should not only be left as a functioning courthouse, but funding should also be made available to properly fix/restore it since it is a real piece of history...

It's a crying shame that our history of this great county of Jones has not taken a better priority. Progress can be made but history is important. People forget this. Architecture should be preserved in a time where everything is changing too fast.

Please do not destroy the Ellisville Court House. It is old and a landmark for Ellisville. Take the money and remodel the inside or fix what is broke. I worked there years ago. I love that old courthouse. Please do not tare it down.
