We, the undersigned, are appalled at the behavior and manner in which a police commissioner of the City of New York has conducted himself and managed the department.  He has violated the rights of people in New York City across the board.  He condons the infiltration of community mosques by police working directly with CIA operatives who spy on people in their houses of worship; he has personal knowledge of and allows police officers to be taught to hate Muslims by not only being involved in the production of the anti-Islam propaganda film “The Third Jihad” but  also having the knowledge that it had been shown to almost 1500 NYPD officers; he has instituted policies such as "Stop and Frisk" where the targeting of young men of black and Latino origin are detained and searched unjustly and in violation of their first amendment rights; and is attempting to institute a policy of "fly over drones" trying to further spy on the people of the city of New York, again in clear violation of civil liberties. 

Anyone who holds a top position in law enforcement in a diverse city should adhere to the highest standards of moral ethics and fair treatment of all of the people in that city. Furthermore, not only are his acts reprehensible, but could be illegal.   

Therefore, we demand the immediate resignation of Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly forthwith
