They just HAVE TO be included. They are so important and such an important part of Deep Purple as Ritchie or Jon. Excluding them is to deny an important part of Deep Purple's history.

I think Steve Morse deserves to be in there on his own merits and accomplishments. But as a part of a group is the next best thing.

Steve Morse has been DPs guitarist for 20 years. He is widely acknowledged as one of the best to ever play the instrument, regardless of genre. There is NO GOOD REASON why he should not be inducted into the RRHOF along with the rest of DP. I do not know of Don Airey's work like I do Steve's but if he's playing in DP, he has the talent to deserve a spot as well.

Steve Morse was GP guitarist of the year for 5 years - that alone should qualify him. Also lead guitarist for DP for the last 20. Steve is name-checked as an influence by many guitarists to this day.

Steve Morse and Don Airey are two absolutly brilliant very accomplished musicians with an amazing body of work. Both of them are an integral part of living breathing Deep Purple, essential to the continuing existence of the band, and a part of keeping the existing 'classic' music of this band alive, as well as of continued creating of new music with the band. Without them there would be no Deep Purple today, and with inducting Deep Purple in the RRHOF it should be all or nothing!
