It’s only fair for all in the band(deep purple) be inducted.....been a fan since living in LA in the 70’s a great possibility knowing someone in the band’ before their stardom......

The core members, which the HOF committee has chosen to enter the HOF (are the great fellas of the band's glory days 1968 -1976):
1. Ritchie Blackmore
2. Ian Gillan
3. Roger Glover
4. Jon Lord (RIP)
5. Ian Paice
6. David Coverdale
7. Glenn Hughes
8. Rod Evans (a mystery, whether he is still on the planet)
the HOF decision to cut off the needless extra members like JLT, SM etc etc ..because the ceremony stage is relatively small for one big battalion. the other bands like Chicago, Steve Miller Band must also be celebrated in that evening. The HOF won' t waste their time to argue about DP members.. The band and their fans should respect the HOF decision. The complaining is just unnecessary & would do nothing.
whether RB would come or not, it is another story, IG opposes these inducted members because he sees Morse more as his new wife, and he avoids to reunite with his old wife (that is his own problem and NOT THE DP FANS problem)

Please include Don Airey and Steve Morse into the Rock and Roll hall of fame along with all the other guests that recorded with Deep Purple. It's only fair.

There are several reasons why Steve Morse should be inducted, only partly because he has been a long time member of Deep Purple. The music industry OWES him this honor.

Been a purple fan since their beginning. All should be inducted, even the temperamental blackmore. And airey and morse,without them there might not be a deep purple.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has trouble getting things right. First, the long overdue entry of Deep Purple. Second, incomplete welcoming of all members.

These 2 Long time Members of the Band are responsible for breathing new life into the Band,and deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame,as much as anyone!!!

Why wouldn't all members past and present that have featured on albums be inducted? Why would you include Rod Evand but not Nick Simper? Makes no sense at all.

If not for Steve Morse joining Deep Purple, I would be unaware of much of their work prior to his joining. And without Don Airey, who would play keyboards at a DP RRHOF induction?
