As a male high alumni, I don’t support the schools decision at all!! Phoenix is braver than a lot of us adults & to reward her heroism with suspension & a hinderance to her education is a slap in the face! I whole heartedly support you Phoenix & I hope they give you the highest recognition imaginable.. let’s take this to the governor everyone above the school board etc her story needs to be heard!!!!!

I have to be honest...my daughter goes to male, and she informed of this incident last night. She informed me that there were so many conflicting accounts. She also added that she absolutely loves this girl and didn’t think it was fair. I wasn’t sure, given the limited information from a 15 year old. I respect you Amanda Hall, and feel that if this issue is important to you, there must be incredible merit behind the issue. I trust your judgement and stand behind you and your parents, Phoenix.

Let Phoenix return to Male High School and review the decision-making process that led to this ridiculous response.

Arguably, MDA serves a purpose but this situation is not it. She does not belong in alternative school for this incident. We must do better as a community in advocating for our young people and demand better from JCPS. This is ridiculous.

This is absolutely such an injustice that this young woman has to endure. I hope that this harsh punishment will be reversed.

She probably saved lives. She's a hero, not a criminal, and shouldn't be treated like one!

I've known this family for nearly 20 years. Phoenix was trying to do the right thing and should not be thrown out of school for that.
