I am spending all day teaching my children the work high has been sent home. Children are only spending 2 hours a day with a teacher over the laptop. Does this level of teaching really expect full tuition fees???

Please be FAIR, no doubt fees should be reduced by at least 50%. It is a change of contract that parents has signed for which entitles children to visit a safe school environment with full supervision & responsibility. This completely changes the stability of the fee structure. We parents are are going through huge stress & suffering due to the amount of supervision and teaching we have to do with children (knowing that we are not teachers!!!). We have our office work as well that results in us working till night due to the jiggling and the stress with children during the day. DEWA bill is huge last month, data connection problems and extra data that has been arranged.
This is the time for giving for everyone, everyone is compromising and not operating on profits as if the world is not going through the crisis, it is obvious for GEMS being the largest education provider, it all about money and profits to them. While in our view GEMS should be an example & step forward and make a biggest discounts that other schools cannot afford.
Gems has huge DEWA savings, no overtime and may be other costs reduced but still claiming terms 3 fees???

There should not be such discrimination on who is needy. These are unprecedented times and everyone’s affected and impacted by some way or another. Financially we to have undergone cuts in our incomes and we are too working from home and teaching our kids. So I humbly request you to reduce the fees as these are the times when schools have to unanimously agree on giving discounts to every family. We have been paying fees year on year on time however please understand we too are working very hard to earn our living with pay cuts and tryptophan provide for our families, rent and schooling. Gems group has been in the education business for over 5-6 decades and surely be able to sustain few years.

Looking into the matters and in view of the global tough situation, fees reduction should be applicable for all students and with no exception, similar to what other schools and education systems around UAE have already applied. It is not a reflection of a charity, it is a reflection of understanding and taking the right lead in regards to the current situation as emphasized above.

We all are equally impacted with Covid19 not just financially but socially, psychologically as well .E learning is simply not worth for paying full fees for the term. All the parents have to work as hard as children especially in all primary classses. Why to pay full fees without using school’s facilities?

nothing bad to say against the school they are doing a difficult job in difficult times
we are all in the same boat . if the boat capsized it's our kids that will be hardest hit. I will sign this petition as I believe we should all be treated the same as I assume we all pay the same fees. I would say give all a discount and if those who can afford allow them to make a donation back to the school if they can afford.

Reduction in fees is our right consdiering the current situation and Remote learning limitations in delivering the education. Asking financial documents/ unemployment proof to prove that parents cannot afford the fees and then the discount will be offered , really GEMS.
