I am a year 11 student who has been studying in gems Wellington International School for the past 7 years and with much experience of this horrid school, i advice no parents and i repeat NO PARENTS should ruin their childrens academic careers by sending them to such a waste of time school, they have teachers with the least experience having the average age range to be 22-25 year olds. This school lies about all their students and only focuses on the students with “exceptional” grades promoting them to be the face of the school and lying that this is how every student is like. Me being GCSE student of Wellington can very confidently tell you that this school does not and WILL not care about your child be it he/she is struggling or they are failing. This school only takes in children like sheep to fill their pockets with oozes of money and they dare to say out of their filthy mouths that they would give charity?! Some one really needs to give Mr Varkey a wake up call to remind him WHO admissions their child in his failed schools takes out money out of their pockets in the hope of their child having a bright future are no one other than the PARENTS who he seems be to wanting to give out “ charity “ to. In this time of pandemic and quarantine it makes very much sense to not pay the full fees of the term as the the school very rightfully asks for money that takes up much of the fees of the term to pay for tables, electronic boards and much more of equipment that they may not be able to provide through their very commendable “e-learning” that every academic institution is providing the students with around the globe. If the schools are not able to provide the students with the physical building and the other equipment that they their parents have paid for then even a common man would find it logical for parents not paying the full fees! I hope you all do well in this tensed time of pandemic and please stay home:)

Online platform and the fact that most of the onus of teaching the material is with the parents doesn’t justify the full fees for this term. The fact that most of the other schools in Dubai have reduced their tuition fees is a testiment that that GEMS should also provide fees discount at least for this term.

We want to clarify here that we are asking for fee discount since the level of schooling is not the same in Distance learning. Also there are no any extra expenses being faced by the school as it is closed then why should we pay the full fee for third term.

We would be happy to get some relief on the term fees as I have paid it only to know now that my business is not functioning.
