Government and state authorities must urgently implement laws so that association management companies and board members stop the abuses they constantly commit against residents. They collect funds for new projects that they never carry out, they increase the monthly payment disproportionately, they do not comply with the required maintenance, and the owners cannot do anything because there are no laws or government institutions that protect us.

This is needed in every state.

Long overdue, The corruption is criminal.

It’s worst experience to be succeed into an HOA only to come the the rude awakening you have no protection or recourse for all you have to endure.

We need this nationally!!!! What is going on is criminal with no penalty

HOAs need major changes! The government has put outrageous control and power in the hands of people who have never been taught how to use it. There are more and more corrupted HOAs being hatched every single month. This needs to stop, and stop now! With over 50% of the people in the United States now in some sort of hoa, the government needs to stop in and see the damage they're doing. We need ways of protecting the owners from the people that are supposed to be running their hoas. Right now we have none! I have tried for 4 years to get some help for my HOA who is running rapid with because of a rogue Board of Trustees. There is no one to help unless you go to a private lawyer which can take all of your retirement savings. HOAs need help, and that help needs to happen now!

Indiana needs help too.

I am presently experiencing major problems with Mandarin Lakes HOA. Their accounting is horrible and they have placed a lien against my home. I am harassed daily by people who think my home is in foreclosure and call my personal cellphone as well as send text messages. They have issued me numerous fraudulent citation warnings and done quite a bit to harass me. The property manager is horrible and I have never heard anyone say anything positive about working with her.

Change is very much needed

My HOA I’m paying $95 and now we need to pay $1680.00 plus our regular Monthly payment not fare I know everything went up but there’s has to be another way we can barely make ends meet.
