Impossible to get through on phone, sometimes holding on for an hour - and if you do eventually get through there are no appointments

The system has a severe lack of structure and definitely doesn't deliver a good service.

I’ve tried to get an appointment for six weeks for a pain in my hip. This system does not work. Lists only being released three weeks at a time is a ridiculous way to work! You simply cannot plan. Nobody who works can sit waiting on a phone every single morning for over an hour to get an appointment.
I have trouble getting my prescription filled every single month no matter which way I ask for it. Even writing the list out and giving it to reception and following up with phone calls they still only give me half the stuff.
When you call to say you’ve only had half. They ask you which items you wanted? I need all of them? Otherwise my GP wouldn’t have prescribed them in the first place would he? It’s beyond frustrating really it is.
People will die if this ridiculous system is not sorted!

It is bizarre that non-urgent appointments (with a 2 week wait) can only be obtained by visiting or calling on a Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Calling and being told to call every morning, or when they release appointments for 3 weeks time, but they couldn’t tell me when this week they will be released so I’d be better off with 111, minor injuries or urgent treatment centre is totally unacceptable… how are we supposed to get help ??

Dreadful service to the community. Impossible to get an appointment & wastes all of their patients valuable time. How can this be allowed to continue?

I also have an awful time and have resulted in going to Crawley hospital who then told me I needed to see my doctor and only then did I manage to get a response due to this and needed medical attention.

I would also like to ask why the Push Doctor contract has been cancelled, as this atleast did offer the opportunity to see a doctor for minor ailments and prescriptions when other appointments are impossible to obtain. I would ask that this service be reinstated

It was quite a shock moving back to the practice after a few years elsewhere to see how bad it has become under the commercial operator.

It's quicker to drive to Ship St to book an appointment than to make a phone booking

Impossible to get an appt, ludicrous waits for calls to be answered, yet if you go in to the surgery there is never anyone waiting. Do they even have doctors there any more? Awful how it's gone downhill over recent years

I am struggling to get appointments with a GP. I call only to be told there are no appointments left & to try again the next day. The system does not work & is dated in comparison to other doctor’s surgerys.

The system since modality took over has been increasingly declining, before they took over, it was busy and not always easy to get appointments but it was still managed well and was accessible for all and had decent response and turn around time, modality was meant to streamline and increase efficiency, it has only cut people out from simple healthcare and made medical treatment for some members of the community painfully difficult and frustrating to say the least.

Agree. I work in an NHS Trust in London. I think the practice has suffered immensely since modality takeover. I think the doctors, nurses and reception staff within the practice do their very best, but unfortunately, through no fault to them, it is appalling the set up with modality having no care to the welfare of their staff or patients.

We all understand the NHS is under immense pressure but this service is unacceptable
