Serious failure to meet patients needs. Lives will be lost as a result of this practices inability to provide even the most basic service to it's patients.

Having been a patient at Ship Street for 53 years I am sad to agree with the current critique of Modality. I have had several personal problems dealing with the surgery since Modality took over, the latest of which was a long wait for a new medicine prescribed by a hospital consultant. I took the original script to Ship Street same day for an electronic transcription and delivery by my local pharmacy as usual, which used to take 24 hours. I followed up by emailing, sending a letter, re-visiting the surgery and phoning and it took 26 days for this widely used medicine to arrive!

The service at Judges Close which is also run by Modality is extremely poor, Never able to get an appointment and when you do you may end up at Ship Street or Crawley Down. Health Services for the residents of East Grinstead not PROFIT

Seeing a paramedic instead of a doctor was not acceptable. Also when I turned up at ship street, I was told my appointment was over the road at judges surgery.

Absolute shambles. I was diagnosed with and have been treated for, stage 3 prostate cancer and nothing this place does fills me with any degree of confidence in my care. Aloof, rude and disinterested. I had to send me blood test results to my cancer consultant myself because "Modality cant communicate directly with Royal Surrey Hospital".

Service from Judges Close has collapsed over the past few years. My nominated doctor left and they didn’t even advise me.

Both my daughters have been told both over the phone and at person at ship street surgery that the medication they have been taking for many years was not on the system so to try and get a prescription was a totally nightmare. One of my daughters has to take anti depressants and due to the complete incompetence of the modility system she ran out which caused her mental health to decline this should absolutely never happen and could have ended very badly.

One of the most irritating issues is not knowing who your assigned doctor is. I have had different doctors contact me out of the blue, a different doctor addressed on my consultant's letter who I have never heard of, and doctors from a different practice apparently looking at my issues. There once was a time when you knew who your assigned doctor was but it is very unsettling to have multiple different doctors spending 5 or 10 minutes looking at your case, each with different view on treatment etc. As for trying to get an appointment on the phone, it is impossible. I resorted to going into Ship Street to get an appointment for a blood test and the place was virtually empty! I got an appointment within minutes. Since Modality took over, the practice has gone downhill and is not fit for purpose now. However they have spent money on a new (empty) extension!!
