Absolute shambles of a system. Been forced to seek help from private GP’s purely out of necessity. Unable to get a routine appointment. Call waits are sometimes in excess of an hour. The system is making it worse for hospitals to cope because that’s where they are telling you to go. Modality services in Horley are quite good so what’s the problem with Crawley Down? Mismanagement in my opinion.

Since our surgery was taken over by modality it’s been a nightmare to get an appointment the staff are lovely but under huge pressure I have many pre-existing issues and I’m struggling a lot.

Was a patient at ship street since 1987. Left at the beginning of the year 2023 as service was dangerous. No appointments. No primary care. No follow ups. Putting people’s health, young children and old people at risk

We seemed to have ended up with a profit making business, rather than a doctor’s surgery providing a service to its patients. It’s extremely worrying, you cannot get an appointment unless it’s urgent and even then you are just told to go to East Surrey A&E.

Never able to get to see a doctor face to face or even to get basic medical advise anymore. Having always to go to A&E is not good enough

Our GP is Crawley Down heath centre.
Same problems as now Modernity too

Let down with no appointment or call from GP from Crawley Down Surgery. Scooped up by nurse on my asthma check 2 weeks later and wheels were quickly put in motion. By then it was too late. Damage done.

The women on reception at Judges Close are hopeless. Can never find time to answer the phone or return calls but instead appear to be pottering around the reception area. I've never actually made it to next stage of seeing a doctor as there has never been any appointments available for me.

I just feel I can’t ring now , as cannot get anywhere , prescription line , wait for ages , then cuts you off , so questions on ethnicity, and wasn’t to send you for lifestyle change , , it seems after all years being with surgery , nothing is known about us

Really sad that Ship Street has declined and we are desperately worried that we are no longer safe. Following a fall, I could not get through to check a potential infection and, following a call to 111, was told it should be checked out urgently. When they tried to source an appt …. Nothing. I’m still waiting and have been directed to Judges Close - 10 days later. This is for an ‘urgent’ need? Do something!
