So difficult to get appointment and when do asked to attend out of your local residency. Being over 70 no fun!

Who is Dr Jefferies?
My husband Paul, the Ship Street Surgery patient, has been seriously ill in the last year. He spent nearly 2 months in hospital, out of this time 20 days in Critical Care Unit in induced coma. He nearly died, but thanks to NHS staff efforts he is back home and slowly recovering.
All correspondence from different hospitals, tests results, before and after his ordeal, were being sent to Dr Jeferries in Crawly Down Health Center.
Dr Jefferies or anyone from this Surgery:
- never contacted my husband
- my husband never met Dr Jefferies
- Dr Jefferies never met my husband and probably does not know that he exists.
I wonder what is happening to the consultants reports so dutifully being sent to Crawly Down Health Center?
To me it is the waste of consultants time as never any actin or reaction is taken, no matter how ill the patient is, he is totally ignored . This is why I think that the green mark for care given in today's report is slightly exaggerated.

Crawley Down Health Surgery is also under the same modality partnership. Service has been atrocious. Can never get appointments, prescriptions take at least 2 or 3 attempts and never on time, before the pharmacy receive them, any patient monitoring that is recommended never happens, there is no where to complain, when consultants send prescriptions the usual answer is we have not received it or it is not on our system. One neighbour was asked to go private because other people do. All regular testing has not happened. It is completely unreasonable and we end up at A&E for non A&E situations or conditions getting really bad.

This practice used to be great but since joining the Modality group it is an absolute shambles. We are scared to become ill!

Slippery slope to all GP surgeries being privatised, as is happening with the dental practices.

This needs being brought to account as it reflects a top-down world phenomenon which hates anything genuinely thriving and successful -preferring a barely basic minimum provision for ordinary folk.
