This was a first class practice, Since Modality took over it is now no longer an efficient practice.

It is unfair on the Modality staff to have systems in place that are not effective, e.g., appointment system, in-house communications skills. Modality Partnership H/Q should recognise all the issues/complaints and be prepared to improve their business as it was formed in 2009, so I am surprised they cannot even get the basics corrects of having a good telephone appointment system.

I have had excellent service recently when my symptoms ticked the “red flag” requirements but for non life threatening situations appointments can be weeks away allowing troublesome non terminal conditions to worsen considerably and therefore take more measures and expense to cure. Early intervention and prevention should be the focus

Ship Street used to be brilliant practice with some truly excellent Doctors. Now it is almost impossible to make an appointment to see any of thh Doctors.

Have witnessed JC and SS being rude to their patients, heard the sad complaints in the queue of people in the waiting room. It is in an appalling state.

The situation in obtaining prescriptions, advice or appointments is becoming untenable. The Care Quality Commission should do an updated inspection.

Since Modality took over the local surgeries the system has gone from a good service to a broken system

Agree with all the comments here. Totally unacceptable to be on the phone for 40 minutes only to be told no more appointments available that day. Knowing you have to go the through the same the next day and beyond is stressful and soul destroying. Modality need to be held to account for this woeful shambles!

In last 12-18 months the service has become awful and it is simply too time consuming to even try and get an appointment on most days

These comments apply to all the East Grinstead / Copthorne Modality surgeries, not just Ship Street, their whole set up seems to be broken.

The only way now to get appointments or results and follow-ups at Crawley Down Health Centre now is to go there in person. Even then you may only get a phone call from an unknown Dr, who has no knowledge of your situation. Messages from Drs are added to your record but not passed on to the patients. As for health care, eg annual check-ups, this is non-existent - the whole business is just a sticking plaster operation.

I think that their system is biased against those of us who are not adept online as in the case of prescriptions. I am also unable to get onto the Ship Street website, but then I am 88 years old and need not be considered.
