Pearson's tests are part of a huge corporate scam. Pearson deliberately makes the exams so difficult that students taking them fail in record numbers. Then, Pearson sells their "remediation" to the schools and makes millions more. It's time people woke up to this scam.

If a test is valid, then it can withstand the scrutiny. Make it transparent!

Before any talk of renewing Pearson's contract is made, a full review of their actions is needed.

its time the people who PAY FOR EVERYTHING has a say in what we pay for. Maybe next is replacing all the politicians with those who really listen and exercise democracy.

We completely disagree with all of this. It is not only unfair to our children and abusive, it's UNAMERICAN!

Teachers who teach specific grade levels now in typical public school should be the people developing the test along with educational psychologists. People who understand how cognition develops should be developing these tests. And, if my child is taking this test in April, I should get results by May, not late August or the beginning of September.

The reading level of a test should be at the grade level of the students being read. This years text for some passages was at grade level for som passages, however other passages were at the 7th, 8th, and 10th grade level! This inconsistency is unexceptable, unfair, and damaging to the the children's emotional well being! It is also unfair to teachers who are being evaluated on a test that is plagued with such inconsistencies.
