Appropriately written and administered tests should not be an impossibility, but Pearson is incapable of providing them, even when paid 33 million dollars. Sleeveless pineapples, anyone (look it up!)?

The children need relief NOW. These exams are long, inappropriate, and unnecessary. The children have a right to see their tests. The teachers have the right to see their students' tests in order to help them improve. Parents have the right to know what their children were tested on. And, the data gathered could certainly be obtained in shorter tests, fewer testing days, and less questions. These tests serve only to generate revenue for education companies, and not to best service our children and their needs.
please investigate the validity of the developmentally inappropriate NYS English and Math assessments grades 3-8

There is no doubt that we need a common national standard, but these tests are an unreliable measure of student progress. As long as a large number of students are allowed to opt out because their parents recognize the nugacity of these tests, using test scores to evaluate their teachers is unfair.

I understand the need for standardized tests in schools, however in order for those tests to give accurate feedback, they must be age appropriate and well written. The grade 3-8 common core tests are desgined trick the citizens of New York into believing that the public school system is not working. This is not the case. Privating education will only hurt the most vulnurable families and make it harder for under privalged students to succeed.

My words are unfit to print! These tests have nothing to do with children, teachers and learning! They are only given for the money earned by the private sector!

These tests are not showing to actually test the age-level readiness of our children, but rather are designed to promote failure. These tests need to be made transparent NOW.
