The tests need to be more transparent, more grade appropriate passages with a variety if genres, a variety of questions with not best possible answer but one correct answer, I could go on!

While I was not in agreement with the "opt out" movement for a few reasons...this is a reaonable request and would produce something.

AABSOLUTELY CORRECT THAT A DEMAND AN INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF THE PEARSON COMMON CORE NY STATE EXAMS BESIDES THAT THERE SHOULD BE AN INVESTAGATION DONR ABOUT THE PEARSON CO.

our children should be tested in grade level material. Tests should not be designed to trick children.

My child took the ITBS in her Catholic school in October, 2012 - was well above average. Later that school year, April, 2013, she took the newNYS Assessments - scored a meaningless '2' - not proficient. That was the last year I allowed her to take these faulty and convoluted tests, which are not fit for human consumption. Cognitive Child Abuse, aka Common core must end!
