DEMAND AN EXPANDED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY OF TROY SAND & GRAVEL’S PROPOSAL TO DIG 100 FEET DEEPER AT ITS SAND LAKE MINE

Water table is lower every year and drops drastically after each blast.. Houses are shaking during blasts. Air quality is diminishing.

I grew up near there it's completely screwing up the water table.

People are breathing toxic chemicals, fumes and dust from the Troy Sand and Gravel . We need the EIS to be performed before any application is passed. Lives are on the line and we need to have a careful and deep investigation into them. My building sits right on the property line of the Troy Sand and Gravel's property. I have all sorts of chemicals, crushed stone, dust and fumes coming into my apartment. I have air filters that can not keep up with the stuff seeping into my apartment.

This MUST be DONE.

Resides is the town of Poestenkill.

We need more rigorous study on the effects of deep mining on the local water supply and safe drinking water. Do not skip this essential step!

Shut the toxic waste site down!

Many people have had their wells run dry immediately following a large blast at the mind. At one point, the Algonquin Lake level dropped overnight after a blast. Nothing good will come from increased blasting and further endangering the ground water.

No more mine expansion in Sand Lake. The quality of health, life, and environment are already greatly affected by this mine.

This study needs to be done !! This mine is in the middle of our town

Whenever they blast my house shakes, cracks in floor

This needs to be studied closely to understand how it will impact nearby neighborhoods and our community.

Mining in West Sand lake needs to stop. The reverberation is harming the foundations of properties. There is a senior living community right next door to the mine, this can't be good for the health of the community, especially the elderly!

Thank you for including me. I live accross Rt 43 from the mine and my house shakes every time they blast. I can hear the rumble coming and it’s getting worse and more often.

Enough is enough. They need to be stopped. Traffic and noise have become out of control in West Sand Lake. Air quality is diminishing. Those that depend on wells will suffer from the water tabk

The detonations shake my entire house like an earthquake. The dust covers the entirety of the outside of my house and has aggravated allergies, ruined outdoor furniture and is a constant nuisance. We live on the opposite side of 150 from the gravel pit. The trucks race past our house speeding through the village.

Please expand the EIS for the proposed expansion of the Troy Sand & Gravel mine. There is unsupported and inaccurate information in the proposal in regard to impact and proximity to homes, elder communities, water supplies and natural public resources.

No more blasting, it's already horrible where I live on Reichards Lake!!

Please don’t allow this as I am afraid of whstvit would do to the water table. Also the blasts shake my house something fierce.

We simply cannot afford further compromise to our water table and our air quality. This enormous pit right in the center of town is already an eyesore. This expansion will only help the owners of the mines and do nothing for the people of West Sand Lake.
