DEMAND AN EXPANDED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY OF TROY SAND & GRAVEL’S PROPOSAL TO DIG 100 FEET DEEPER AT ITS SAND LAKE MINE

The blasting in this town literally rocks my house until pictures drop off the wall. I do not want any blasting quite frankly and often wonder what damage is being down to my home.

How this could be allowed to happen without looking at the effect on the town is unconscionable.

I am not in favor expanding due to my concerns of possible impacts to our water table and supply

We do not need more mining in this town, the truck traffic alone is at max capacity not to mention the possible impact to surrounding property values.

Increasing the scope of mining in Sand Lake will adversely affect the quality of life of the residents. The population is continuously expanding and having a mining operation at the center of West Sand Lake is preposterous at this point. Mining should not be allowed at all in the town, let alone an expansion of the current scope.

Just today (5/23/25) had to replace my well pump. Every time Troy Sand and Gravel detonates explosives my house shakes! They say it is sound waves but you can feel it inside the house and standing outside.

I oppose expansion of the mine due to its impact on the community and environment.

I'm concerned about the wells that we all have in town, the water table and contamination.

No further expansion of this mine!

The mining is very disruptive to our community, but more importantly it is affecting the integrity of our house.

I do not want this affecting my well water!

Mining in residential areas such as this one is a detriment to the community and the residents you have been elected to represent. Please don't let this pass.

This would greatly impact the environment as well as homeowners and should not pass!!

We already have excessive truck traffic, noise and dust from the existing mines. Most residents of our community doo not want any more mining expansion. This mine is right in town near neighborhoods, grocery stores, coffee shops, gas stations, pizza shops, school bus stops and more. The impacts of expansion will be felt. Please do not allow for this mine to be expanded.

Greatly concerned about the impact on the aquifer that serves the wells in our neighborhood

Please protect fresh water, recreation, and wildlife in Sand Lake! We already have so many gravel pits and mines in the area with constant traffic and dust. No more!

I oppose the expansion of the mines in depth and perimeter. The quarries are bad neighbors who contribute to the noise pollution, truck pollution, and ever time they blast (with or without a permit) our basement walls get more cracks in them.
