It is way past time to declare a travel ban to protect the people of the world.

There is no economic reason we cannot prevent travel from Africa to the U.S.. Imports from the entire continent total less than 2% of U.S. imports.
U.S. GDP 2013 = $16,800 billion. U.S. Imports 2013=$ 2,744 billion (16.3%) U.S. Imports from Africa =$39.3 billion (1.4%)

Ebola spread in the U.S. will shut our economy down! Airport employees are already walking off the job. Will you be able to conduct your day if there are No schools? No airports? No shopping? Any economic impact felt in the U.S. due to Ebola infection will far outweigh any contribution from African tourism. Enforce a travel ban and enforce the border to prevent traffic, illegal or otherwise, of infectious diseases already infecting our Airports, Hospitals, Schools, and Border Patrol Agents. (http://www.texastribune.org/2011/02/28/are-illegal-immigrants-importing-illness/)

There is no medical supply reason not to declare a travel ban. Sending aid can be done from the air and African military/ citizens can pick it up and deliver it. Anyone who wants to travel to the Ebola stricken regions may do so with the understanding that they will not be allowed back to the U.S. They understood the risk when they took it.

There is no reason our military who has never dealt with an Ebola pandemic is any more qualified to erect tent hospital cities than are the African military or African construction workers. Send the supplies and let their countries build it. Obama says no one country can or should be the world's police.

There is no reason that the training being provided in our country, which is obviously horribly inadequate, full of errors, and lacks basic information as provided online by Canada (http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/lab-bio/res/psds-ftss/ebola-eng.php) will be completed any better in person. Send them instructional videos en mass.

There is absolutely no way we can send 4,000 soldiers who are not adequately trained into Ebola infected regions with cargo planes, helicopters, trucks, boots, clothing and supplies to regions where many places lack even basic sanitation such as bathrooms and expect to get those 4,000 soldiers, aircraft, trucks, boots, clothing and supplies back into the U.S. without risk of Ebola infection when we have clear evidence that trained healthcare workers cannot even manage to treat one man in a major Dallas based hospital with all of the equipment and precautions of trained healthcare professionals.

This proposal will help protect the American people, tourists visiting America, all air travel into and out of the U.S., minorities, women, children, homosexuals, liberals and democrats. This proposal is in direct alignment with the foreign policies of the President of the United States. Hands off, create a coalition, send money and supplies but do not engage.
