The Delta watershed brings in many mountain bikers of all levels from across the country. With increased funding and support from the city, we can expand our technical features (ex. jumps, skinnies ect.) and help create a safer environment for the mountain bike community. The city will not have to worry about liability and the dedicated volenteers from the club will maintain the trails. We would like to build more biking trails with jumps, berms and ladder bridges while maintaining safety for other recreational users.
What we are asking for is simple:
-Support from the city to build future technical trails (the one we have right now has been a great success and we are looking to expand)
-Delta City allowing us to build more biking trails
-Funding for equiptment such as nails and screws
We are not asking much, but the city is not listening. Please support the Watershed.
I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK MEETING WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS TO PUSH FOR THESE NEW TRAILS!! THEY ARE FINALLY LISTENING TO OUR DEMANDS FOR MORE FUNDING AND BETTER FACILITIES!!
June 1, 2007
THE MOMENTUM AROUND THESE TRAILS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE RIGHT NOW!! SEEING THIS GROW SO FAST PROVES THE CITY CANNOT IGNORE US ANY LONGER!

The trails are the only good thing about this city. Invest in them and stop letting them rot.

The club does all the work anyway. Just give them the money for the lumber and start letting them build!!!

Need more jump lines. The current ones are getting way to crowded because everyone loves them.
