Seriously, when it comes to roads, this state is a laughingstock. No shoulders. Roads just drop into the ditch or into oblivion. Poor drainage strategies means roads that are paved end up being undercut and eroded away. No one seems to care about pedestrians and adding sidewalks. There are about 40 units - all paying taxes - on our road and somehow it’s “orphaned” and we have to pay to maintain it. How does that work? Can I have my taxes back?

Some of the roads are dangerous to drive and especially for out children in cars and school buses. Not to mention the money West Virginians have to keep shelling out for blown tires, bent rims, etc.

Harner Run Rd and the state-owned portion of Pierpomt Heights Dr are in horrible condition. The patching does not work. There are big trucks on Harner Run daily due to new construction. Please assist in getting these roads paved, not patched. This has been an on-going saga for as long as I have lived in Pierpont Heights.

The roads leading to my home have been in complete disrepair for years! The school bus stop has even moved because of the worsening conditions. We need help!

For the past six years I have been trying to get the DOH to do some major work on Harner Run Rf. & Pierpont Hgts. Dr. Both roads need milled and resurfaced, brush needs cut back. I have sent e-mails with pics to charleston and Dave McCormick. All I get is a run around.
