We stretched our budget and we moved for the school, and we were/are very excited to be a part of this school's community and to be so close to school too..... this is all very disappointing.

I have 2 children starting in CMS in 2018 currently zoned for Dilworth. We moved to Charlotte in Summer of 2016 and as no children in CMS were not engaged in any of the coffee mornings or other meetings prior to learning of the proposal last week. I echo the sentiments of my neighbors that we need more time understand the long term impact of the proposed changes as well as time to develop alternatives.

How you can propose a vote prior to the new Superintendent taking office makes no sense whatsoever. There will be zero accountability when/if it fails. Nevermind the fact that you are giving parents, and residents zero time to gather information and propose solutions. Please delay the vote for a multitude of reasons.
