Dilworth families have been un proportionately affected by the current proposal and more thought/time needs to be put to alternative options. Also, decisions like this, that would have such a large impact on children, should not be made by an administration that is going to be gone in a few mo the and don't have to live with the implications and issue that are sure to arise.

There is not enough public information or studies done to prove this will be successful. Also, it did not work 1970-1999. Please refer to the case before the supreme court.

Delay the vote: The current proposal will not solved the Title 1 schools issues in Charlotte. Excellent leadership and support from the ENTIRE community will. All of CMS needs to participate not just a select few. This burden should not be placed on the children and families in the higher level schools. No teacher can teach the gifted student along with a Title 1 student. This will not work. Give Myers Park Traditional back to our neighborhood. Move the it to another location. Work on how to successfully teach children in the poverty level schools without forcing good performing schools to do it for you! This proposal needs to be revised. Listen to us and don't vote this in on May 24th. This is the return of the 70's!

At least wait until a new superintendent and school board are in place, which will happen in about six months.
Give us more time and more information so that the outcome can be successful.

Please consider delaying the vote in order to allow due diligence and absorb all of the constructive input from affected CMS families and neighbors. We, like you on the board, want this to be a SUCCESS! To do this, we can't rush, but need to take time to address all issues of concern carefully and create a well thought out plan that will benefit all.

As a Charlotte resident since 1992, a Dilworth homeowner since 1997, and a father of two school age kids, In the common interest of the community I humbly remind the CMS Board that they serve ALL students that live in our county; therefore, it is prudent to allow proper time for thorough thought, reflection, and debate on a matter that will impact 75+ schools and tens of thousands of students, teachers, and taxpayers for many decades to come.
Perhaps it is time for our community to have the conviction and courage to ask should the first question to be prioritized and debated that perhaps CMS is too large to effectively serve the interests of all residents and students in our county?
