Former division 1 college athlete who spent that 4 years preparing to win a state championship. I also have conditions that make me vulnerable to this virus, I am in a unique position to understand both sides of this problem and I am in favor of responsibly undertaking school sports.

Give the seniors a chance, even if it's delayed into the summer or just a few games.

Let these Athletes play. Let them have the choice whether they want to participate in their last year.

It appears that the infection rate has slowed and the curve that we have been working for is occurring so it is time to let them play!

please open the opportunity to reconsider a modified and safe opportunity for the student athletes to compete. This would be a great opportunity to reunite the students in a way that currently does not bring closure for them and others at the schools

Please just let them play the state tournament. We can cancel the regular season but let them play in a quick state tournament. These boys and girls will do anything to play even if it is in the middle of the summer. Have a state tournament starting June 1st! Please and thank you!

The boys and girls that are playing are the most resistant to this COVID-19. They are the healthiest people in our society!! Running miles everyday and eating healthy they will not contract COVID-19 and haven't based on the results from the public health dept.

This year I was supposed to take a state title in Utah and have been working since the end of my spring season last year. I am a senior.

I feel like my rights and freedoms have been taken away by somebody else making this decision for me. Please let my child be seen by college scouts this is a very very important year for us.

The decision to stop play was way too premature. Monitor the situation and open it up, even if on a restricted basis, but let the kids at least have a region and state tournament.

Funny how city & comp leagues still havn't cancelled their leagues, because they have too much money involved. These are hard times & hard decisions must be made, but these kids shouldn't be thrown to the wind so quick & easy. There is 'a lot' more involved than 'just' playing a game.

Since the governor is allowing gatherings of up to 50 people, many of the public schools sports, dance, and theater programs should be reopened for rehearsals and practices. For the seniors, their months and months of preparations and rehearsals have amounted to no opportunity to display their skills. Please allow these activities linked to public schools to practice, rehearse, and continue. Hold the showcases and games in the summer. Please. It is not too late to make a important and life-affecting decision for these teens.

Let’s find a sensible way and let the kid’s play! They have sacrificed and worked so hard. Track is not a contact sport and it’s by time so Everyone doesn’t have to be there at once, take a few days for a meet, have athletes for just one or two events at a certain time, space the runners out... surely we can do this!
