UHSAA - Please Reconsider - Delay is ok, but let them all play!

We would love to have the opportunity for these boys to participate in a soccer playoff tournament if it is at all possible! There are so many opportunities that have been lost for these senior boys who have played for years and have looked forward to this particular experience as highlight, and being able to play in this tournament would be an amazing and uplifting experience for all involved. Please allow spring sports to take place. For seniors it can be crucial! This affects their scholarships and in turn their education which affects their futures. Thank you for your consideration.

Please let these kids play spring sports. If they are in the low risk category then there is no reason why they can’t play the sports that they have trained for. Spectators can still distance themselves or possibly not attend at all. My daughter is a senior this year and her and her friends hearts are already crushed enough as it is. No prom, no graduation, no last memories with all of their classmates. There is still enough time to make things right. The risk is so extremely low. I think we are doing much more damage to them emotionally, psychologically, for their physical health and beyond by not allowing them to live a little. We don’t live in New York City where the crisis is much more serious. We live in a relatively rural state where healthy young kids should be allowed to play. Lets use some common sense here and use a risk-based approach for our local area rather than a large encompassing decision that is primarily based on extreme worst case scenario‘s in our country.
