Figure out what to do with these kids

Portables can be put in place over the summer, I have previous construction experience where we managed mostly schools. I called and confirmed with my former company that this can happen. Keep my grandchildren at West Manheim Elementary. The township knew or neglected to acknowledge that once all these homes were built there would be a need for additions to existing schools or more schools built.

The school commission needs to look along with the district commissioners at why there hasn't been a study of a possibl new school based upon the growth of the tax base in the area. Or has that been kept from the parents as well. Those who pay the taxes that pay the salaries.

A failure of planning on the townships part shouldn't burden the families and disrupt their children's education. The township new well in advance when they started allowing builders to add so many houses in this area. Maybe they should have made the builders contribute to a new school within the township. What is the Township doing with all the extra school tax being collected?

Kids need routines and consistency

It’s not fair to the children who have to be uprooted and moved to another school district after they already became closer to their teachers and their friends.

As the community continues to grow, a long-term solution is needed. Don’t rush into a temporary solution without longer-tern consideration.

Not in favor of changing kids to new neighborhood school. Add portable classrooms if you need more space. It's devastating to the kids.

We literally live 4 minutes from The school. The multitude of townhouse construction has made a huge impact, maybe that is where we should start.

Niece and nephew will be absolutely devastated if they are forced to change schools. My family has resided within West Manheim Township for well over 60 years and each member has attended West Manheim Elementary. At the very barest minimum, more time should be provided to the families affected to make necessary plans.

Actually I’ll post this….same words just shorter Avoiding redistricting in schools maintains stability for students, preventing the disruption of changing schools, which can negatively impact their academic and social well-being. It fosters community cohesion and allows for consistent resource allocation and long-term planning. By not redistricting, schools can better focus on improving educational programs and addressing student needs rather than managing the challenges of boundary changes.

Has the school board asked the students that will be moved to Park Hills how they feel about it? Our daughter Caelyn would like to share some quotes at the meeting from her classmates on how they would feel if they had to move.

We need to ask about an estimate for modular?

Routine and consistency is of utmost importance when it comes to our children. Mentally, they typically don't do well with change. Keep them where they are!

We do not have kids but we do own property and Park Hills Elementary is not rated as well as West Manheim Elementary

This will be devastating to these young children who have formed bonds and friendships at West Manheim.

We love our neighborhood and bought our home with the school district in mind. My child is not yet in school but I believe that more research and development needs to be done before changes are made

My grandbabies deserve to stay in a school they Love! The oldest will be in 5th grade next school year!

I'm signing this as a resident of West Manheim Township for 12 years and a father of 2 students that will be attending 5th and 2nd grade next year. We were given one weeks notice that our children would essentially be kicked out of their current school. The same school that my wife and eye have helped, fought for, provided countless hours of fundraising and volunteer work for. Our kids love this school and it's one of the reasons we decided to purchase a home in this area. Once a Pony, always a Pony! Please help keep it this way. Please delay this absurd "solution" to a problem that is not being looked at in depth. There is so much more to say, and many others have touched base on several things I agree with but in the end, this is wrong, heartless, and poorly thought out when it comes to the health and education of sooo many children.
