We need more notice. It is not fair to any teacher or family. 2015-16 school year would be fine.

we made plans based on the date you posted now you want to change them it not going to work. Think about if you had time off then it changed after you made plans. Do it a year from now or you will be voted out of office. Thanks

When I was growing up, the school year always started the day after Labor Day-1st week of Sept. I think we should go back to that standard. However, I am in favor of implementing the changes for the 2016-2017 school year instead. Thank-you! Phyllis.

This calendar will work well for next year; however, most people had to use the tentative calendar to make their summer plans. It seems irresponsible to change the dates this late in the school year.

I am a teacher and will unfortunately miss the first week of school if this does go through.

this is so wrong. It's okay for next year but too soon for families that have plans already.

It is too late to change the calendar for 2015-2016. Plans have been made..

Please also reconsider the 7:30 AM start time for high school students. We already have kids walking to and waiting at bus stops in the dark. This will make it worse. Studies have shown this is NOT in the best interest of children. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/stop-starting-school-days-so-early-doctors-say/
