I would like to see an External Audit of the City’s meters and their billing procedures to make sure there hasn’t been any fraudulent activity or unfair billing practices!

So we all can get mad and make it easier for them to convince us to sell our water to outsiders for a "cheaper monthly rate". DO NOT FALL FOR IT!! Tell them we want fair water prices and our water is NOT FOR SALE

The secretary at the Del Rio Water dept. Says we are late on a pymt...we always pay on the 3rd of every month...as soon as that payment went on file 2 more bills arrived, one for $256 and the other for $260...apart from the one hundred something i had already paid

I bet they are trying to sell our water to outsiders! They are doing this on purpose! Dont let them ever sell our water!!
My mom is living alone with a bill of $315. It is not as high as the rest of them but she lives alone, I doubt she has spent that much by herself. Something much be wrong

I live alone and have had to pay more than $300 for 3 or 4 months in a row, when before my bill was no more than $70. I argued till they came & checked for leaks, guess what, no leaks. After I still complained they claimed my neighbors were stealing water from me. They never admitted they were wrong and I had to pay for the bills! Even though it was not my fault! And my water Bill's are still high, it's too much for a single woman living alone :(

I spoke to the City of Del Rio City Council at the Budget Hearing on 25 September 2018. I attempted to speak at a Tax Hearing on 10 September 2019; I was not allowed to give my full presentation. ANYONE can get a copy of my presentation from the City Secretary; folks, GO GET A COPY OF MY PRESENTATION, READ IT, AND SHOW UP. The Council is not listening because I point out all the STATE LAWS THE CITY IS VIOLATING. I was on the front page of the paper both times and nearly all the issues persist. The second section of my presentation is on Utility Billing and there are MANY problems with Utility Billing. One, almost one million dollars, PER YEAR, in uncollected charges. Two, the improper over and NOW under collection of sales taxes on natural gas usage. Three, the failure to return security deposits. Four, collecting the city sales tax OUTSIDE the city limits! Five, not having modern level-pay plans. Six, not transitioning to automated meter reading, and on and on. The City of Del Rio will not change until MANY MANY citizens demand change. I did my duty; I tried. If you want this community to be better, the analysis has already been done for you; perhaps someone can find an error in my analysis and I would appreciate being told that fact. 2000 dollar bill and my wife let the meter reader in the yard and he said that the last reading was 9000 something and his reading was 6000 something he took a picture and call the supervisor he came out and said they have been reading the gas meter wrong and would take care of it.

They charge me double saying I owed old bill
