DEFER the Elliott Ave. Broadstone in 12South/Sunnyside: It's fast-tracked & wrong.

This is unbridled development at its worst -- the kind of development that DESTROYS what has make Nashville so wonderful. You are killing the goose that has laid such beautiful eggs in the past.

Preservation should always be a prime consideration of "progress." The lovely mature trees in our neighborhood add to its appeal and increase it's worth in ways that can't be measured simply by dollar value. This award-winning magnolia has become a symbol, a tipping line, if you will. If it goes, the side of unrestrained growth and greed has prevailed. Nashville can do better...can plan and grow smarter..

Regargless of personal opinions, how much development can the dated infrastructure of Nashville stand?

Absolutely. This must be deferred. Fast-tracked projects are killing our neighborhood.

Traffic in the Melrose/8th Avenue area is already a major concern. Further development needs to be seriously studied.

A big project like this should be fully vetted via public conversation. Why the rush?

Local residents and community is necessary to affect positive changes with any development project. We must think of who will be living here in the future, not just next year. Traffic flow is a huge consdieration for all three surrounding communities.

we must protect our history and build new structures that fit into our neighborhoods!

I am not against change or urban density but development must be carefully designed to fit appropriately into these historical, beautiful communities.

This area cannot support more traffic and we are in DIRE need of another grocery store to handle the current population!

Decisions about our neighborhood continue to be made by people who, by virtue of their job and status, have the time & knowledge & connections & resources to push through their agenda. We are steadily loosing our community, our neighborhood, to developers and others who do not have a vested interest in maintaining the integrity of our residential neighborhood. Aggressive density building continues to wipe out our economically diverse and residential culture of our community. This is the first time that I have had this much information about what is going on in my neighborhood. This information did not come from the developers, governmental boards or councils, or from government officials, from those who have sworn to honor the best interests of all the residents in our community. Information, projects, processes, and decisions that daily impact our community have been withheld or meekly provided. This petition succinctly voices my position on these matters.

Matbe it can be integrated into the parking lot like the huge magnolia in front of the Bohan building at the intersection of Demonbruen and 12th Ave S.

Please find a way to save this tree ! It matters and there is a good solution available.
