there are two huge apartment complex projects being planed for 12th avenue less than a mile apart . one of them right next to me.

My husband and I bought our house in 1992. We live in the 2200 block of Elliott Avenue, just 2 short blocks from this proposed development. I am adamantly opposed to it, in part because parking has become a problem with the new development in the neighborhood so far, and our lovely street is becoming known as a "cut-through" for folks wanting to get in or out of town a bit faster than the 8th Ave.S route. This project will make these problems much worse. The 5-foot setback also disturbs me-it seems architecturally incongruent with that part of Elliott Ave. I respectfully request you defer action on this matter. Thank you for listening.

Thoughtful and respectful development is most welcome in our neighborhood. The 'Broadstone on Eighth' doesn't seem to reflect these values and therefore is not particularly welcome.

In 1992, my wife and I bought our home, located on the 2200 block of Elliott Avenue, just 2 blocks away from this proposed project. We've seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years, mostly for the good. This project is not good for our neighborhood. The traffic and parking situation on our street is all ready chaotic enough without this ill-planned project being allowed to progress any further. Please defer action on this matter. Thank you.

This development is out of scale for the location. The city council needs to start listening to the neighbors who are certainly willing to accept development, but with some reasonable constraints rather than just bowing to anything these large developers want.
