The system is in essence in my opionion denying the defendants and their attorneys the right to proper discovery and skirting the discovery and Morton Act laws. It also discriminates against other attorneys not technologically set up to receive discovery in this manner along with the e-filing requirement that does not offer a better means of openness and ease of use via allowing for both. The system should be changed to provide fairness in the process not for expediency and money when constitutional rights of a citizen accused are at stake.

Downloading videos is time consuming and frustrating because the system freezes.

Improvements regarding techshare technical issues would be great if possible

Techshare, as it currently exists, does not serve to meet the State's requirements under Tex. CCP Art. 39.14. Providing a road, which is covered by roadblocks, is most assuredly providing no road at all. The unavailability of media files through tech share is directly analogous.

This affects all attorneys and their ability to adequately represent out clients. Hopefully a solution can be implemented as soon as possible.

Techshare is a dismal and inefficient failure at providing even minimal compliance with discovery ! mandates

It is beyond ridiculous. Can’t download videos only pdf documents. Posses an unfair advantage to the State since they can access the videos at any time.

Delivered a jump drive to DA today, for her to download the 7 videos.

downloading video evidence shouldn't be so painstakingly slow and cumbersome

This tech is not good enough.

Video tapes are difficult/impossible to download. Formerly paid $15.00 for DWI DVD's. Would plead to do so again.

Counterproductive to getting work done. Terrible waste of time and resources.

The slow download speeds mean that sometimes defense attorneys have to choose between downloading all videos and getting their pay sheets cut for being “unreasonable” or guessing which videos are important to the case and not merely duplicates so that their pay sheets will appear “reasonable enough” to be paid. This problem is a recipe for disaster and seems absurd when other platforms on the internet allow videos to be watched nearly in real time.
