As a practicing educator for 41 years, and a mother and Orthodox Christian, I am deeply disturbed by this Judge's decision to deny Antonio's rights as a father and to worship freely.

If anyone attempted to deny me my Italian heritage, I'd be horrified. This is discrimination pure and simple. This judge has to go. If her father spoke Spanish, would there be this response?

Truth is to be witnessed regardless of any threat of persecution and/or even death! This is what Christianity stands for!

It is abhorrent to me how couples use their children in a divorce settlement. As long as there are no circumstances of physical abuse involved, I side with the father on this one. The mother did not marry him blindly, Didn't she become Orthodox to marry him? The child was conceived out of love ( I hope ) so if the mother wants what is best for her child, she'd better pull up her britches, get involved with the Greek community and family, get educated on Orthodoxy and both of you bring up your child together in a loving environment instead of behaving like a savage!

St. Theophan the Recluse:
......He who goes according to the will of the evil one does not experience attacks, but is simply turned more and more toward evil. As soon as one begins to come to himself and intends to begin a new life according to God’s will, immediately the entire satanic realm enters into action: they hasten to scatter good thoughts and the intentions of the repentant one in any way they can.........

He lives in Raleigh, NC. He often goes to the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Panagia Prousiotissa in Troy, NC and that’s how we know him.

How is this even happening. It should be all over the news telling people how horribly unjust this is. This is a human being with a child for goodness sakes

Perhaps this judge in NC is ignorant of the Orthodox faith and needs to see what it looks like and how thousands of people around the world are converting to this beautiful faith: http://journeytoorthodoxy.com/category/latest-stories/other-monotheists/ The spiritual father is vouching for Antonios, so I trust the story in this petition. Lord have mercy on him and his sweet daughter!

Father and mother should both have rights to their children upbringing as long as it in the best interests of the child.
