Please send this daughter back to her father. He is a loving parent who should be able to share his Greek traditions with his daughter!

This situation is absolutely horrendous. An egregious breach of civil liberties. Mr. Hondroulis has every right to practice his religious beliefs and raise his daughter according to those precepts. Otherwise, Judge Worley's rulings can only be described as fascism!

two parents, two sets of values, two sets of standards. how can any parent teach a child the difference between right and wrong with religious faith. what judge would pass a ruling that a parent cannot teach their child the difference between right and wrong

It is a discrace to see that the courts support the rights of all sorts of people with alternative beliefs and lifestyles as well as alternative "family" structures to have the right to raise their children but when it comes to Orthodox Christians they make an exception.

Are some of us using social media to break the Lord’s commandment? In this case against the mother and the judge.
Is our activity on this petition site just an excuse to gossip online?
Who are we to judge and condemn others when we don’t have all the facts … especially when this doesn’t directly concern us? After all ... is this any of our business?
Maybe what we should be doing is praying for all the parties involved especially the poor child, who has to endure this.

Unbelievable! That this happening in America or anywhere else! I'm proud of my Greek=American heritage and religion! If my parents weren't allowed to teach us our customs and language four generations would be lost!

This is so shameful! As a daughter of Greek Orthodox parents who practiced the same religious beliefs, I should have been removed from my parents as well? Persons with no beliefs or values easily condemn others. Shame on you. Give the child she so greatly deserves from her father.

The judge is playing with fire. Let us pray in humility with pain of heart — I have seen this expel the unrighteous from positions where they torment the vulnerable.
