I have been complaining for the last year about the lots there on the side of my house they have not been kept up the grass has not been cut every time I come home and some new piece of trash or some type of machinery is sitting on the side of my house which I find very unprofessional and not well maintained so yes I do agree with the petition and I look forward to of them doing something about it or either we find a new company to go with

The concerns of deer foot is serious. I have tried since 2008. to promote a healthy environment for our children. I have address with the president of DHorton ,email pictures of the flooded play ground and the endangerment of. I was told no club house or pool because that will take HOA up tremendously. I tried to get a petition going about the playground, at the time people thought it was a joke. I saw the need of our children and had DHorton attention. Now we have lost a lot of communication with DHorton. According to them when they drive and see the shape of our property they feel we don't care. As a resident we need to take pride where we live. I have been asking since 2008 for lighting going around the been of deer foot cove. The playground need to be lifted from the hole, trees cut down and the track need to be walkable. I can adding a basketball court to give our kids some where to play. Whoever sent out the petition need to let there name be known. That way people will know who they are supporting and standing behind.

My husband and I have lived in Deerfoot point for going on 7 years, we now have a 3 year old and there is absolutely nothing for children to do here. The playground is not toddler friendly by any means. It stays flooded most of the time. I would like to see a clubhouse/pool be added. Something I could enjoy with my family. The roads have always been horrible here. It's taken 5 years to fix them, and that is beyond frustrating. The late fee is ridiculous. I have never heard of a late fee being that much. Hopefully things will change after this petition.

Agree! My husbands car was messed up, due to a pot hole filled with water, thinking it was just road, coming out our home. All they wanted to say was sorry, we are gonna pave the road soon, and they did 4 months later! These ppl are CROOKS!!!!!!!

I am in agreement with all comments listed, these prices are ridiculous, and there is nothing to show for it, We should not have to pay fire dues, gas, lights, and water among other things that we have to pay for our own homes. To add to the list we need a club house. All I see them doing is the up keep at the front entrance any other maintenance I do not see. These fees need to be lowered. and I do think it is an insult to tell the residents if it is not paid by a certain date you will be charged a $20.00 late fee this is a rip off.

We have been apart of this community right at a year now and with me & my wife being such young homeowners I noticed a lot off the back when we purchased the house! The Roads were #1 on my list of things needed to be fixed & it took forever for that to be resolved!!! There are multiple issues that need to be addressed many I have read in the previous comments from my neighbors are ALL NNED TO BE ADDRESSED. I also have relatives that stay in other HOA community that surrounds the deer foot pointe and all they pay is $125 a year and have alot more to show for it than we do!! There is nothing to justify the increase...not one cent!!! I think the current HOA management should have a meeting of some sort with US to discuss what needs to be done in OUR neighborhood. I'll happily sign the petition in favor of the $185 annual payment, needed amenities listed by my neighbors,& issues that need to be resolved!!!!!

As a household, we agree with this proposed petition for several reasons. It is not reasonable to say that the residents of Deerfoot Point should subsidize the vacancies within the neighborhood that are beyond our control. As residents, we enjoy the appeal and design of our home but we are less than pleased with were the neighborhood amenities stand.
This neighborhood has the capacity to be second to none in Pinson, it is the responsibility of the HOA, DR Horton, and us to make it that.
The fees accessed to residents should be more transparent process and they should reflect the amenities that we are afforded. At the moment, that is not the case.
Our suggestions for amenities are:
Gym with extended access that features exercise equipment (treadmills, row machine, etc) and free weights.
Basketball court and/or tennis court
Swimming pool with clubhouse
Lawn Care Service
These amenities will increase our appeal to potential buyers and increase home prices. It is a win win for all.
There is no need for fees at all!! Esp. not for an increase!!! There is nothing that DeerFoot Pointe offers for money to keep being thrown away. No ammenities for homeowners, nor kids, and that is not a good fit as a community at all! My family, and I are new to the community for going on about 9 months now. There have not been any changes, accept for the roads, finally, after 8 months being paved. We have two kids, and no amenities for them to enjoy! SO, again I ask, and would assume others to want to know also WHAT IS HOA PAYING FOR D.R. HORTON'S PERSONAL USE? No benefit to us the homeowners

I have never cared for any of the HOAs assigned to us. I could fill this box up with reasons why, but that is beyond the scope of this petition. As far as I can see, there is no justification for a 30% increase in dues. The itemized list of expenses only showed budget amounts, not justifications. Why the increase? We just now got a paved road. The entrance sign isn't decorated. The playground area is rarely used. Construction crews litter my front yard and turned my side yard into mud. There was a port-o-potty in my front yard during construction and I got a violation notice about needing fresh mulch. Apparently fresh mulch is more of a concern than the mess that the construction crews made. But I digress. In addition to jacking our dues up 30%, we're also expected to pay a 200% late fee; not even credit card companies do that. On top of that, we have to pay a fee to use the website for payments. I'm not from 1970, so I don't have a checkbook. It makes more sense for me to do things the 2015 way, which is to pay online. I can't help but believe that the HOA knows this, thus the online fee; this feels like a money grab. The tone of the letter that accompanied the increased dues was infuriating and felt condescending. Anyway, I would gladly sign a petition doing away with the HOA, so I will sign this in support of keeping our dues at $185. I'd rather pay $0, but $185 is better than $240.

It's just crazy to me how prices continue to rise with no additional amenities to show for it.

Higher dues are unnecessary.
