As it has been proven in ga and ky it doesnt hurt the deer herds and honestly doesn't have a negative effect on the wildlife or the hunters.

Hunting over bait is no different than hunting over a food plot.

I am for baiting. Hunting over a field of corn stalks is legal but throwing corn kernels and hunting over those is illegal? i dont have the money or energy and time to grow acres of corn stalks but i can easily put corn kernels on the ground for deer to enjoy.

It would benefit people that’s not fortunate to hunt on big food plots or big leases. Someone with small property that deer travel threw this would help make a successful hunt

Supplemental feeding is a great tool, keeps the food plots from being grazed out by mid winter.

I believe hunting over bait should be permitted seasonally. When there are no acorns on the ground in early bow season, it is hard for some hunters to find a food source. Authorizing use of bait in early season would allow hunters a better opportunity to make a harvest. After the acorns fall, a deer could care less about corn with all of the acorn flats hold an abundance of deer. Bait should also be authorized for youth hunts allowing hunters with kids to prepare the spot and to know where to set the kid up for the shot. While some hunters see baiting as unethical, I believe it is a great way to produce a reliable site to watch deer on camera and to harvest deer.

This should have passed years ago. Several states allow baiting and so should Tn.. Please pass baiting.
